Quotation & Proforma

Menu Sales → Proforma Invoices (`/invoice/proforma-invoice`). Create quotations/proformas for customers, approve drafts, print/share, and Generate Sales Invoice when the deal is ready. Often follows a Sales Order and sits before the final Sales Invoice.

Create

Create Quotation & Proforma

Create Quotation and Proforma follows the same sales-side pattern as Sales Order: customer billing, sales dates, item lines with sales prices, tax, discounts, totals, and Save as Draft or Create.

Open create

  1. 1Open the Quotation or Proforma module and click Create New
  2. 2Choose the document type if the product asks: Quotation or Proforma
  3. 3Fill header → Billing Details → lines → footer → Save as Draft or Create

Sales-style header

  • Customer reference / document number fields follow the sales-side style, not the supplier purchase style
  • Document date and due / validity date are important because reminders use the due date timeline
  • Customer billing and shipping sections follow the same end-user pattern as Sales Order
  • Custom fields may appear for sales templates, sales rep, terms, or validity window
