Cash

Menu Cash/Bank → Cash Accounts (`/definitions/cash-account`). Create and manage petty cash accounts with balance and currency. From history record Collection, Payment, and Cash Transfer (shared with Bank and Party ledgers).

Cash Accounts List

The Cash Account page shows an overview balance strip and cards for each petty cash account — search, create, edit, delete, and jump into history or post Collection/Payment/Transfer from the card menu.

Overview & layout

  • Page / nav: Cash Accounts — heading often Cash Account
  • Overview strip: live balance from API (Cash Account Overview / Compared to last quarter in locale)
  • Search: Search by petty cash name...
  • CTA: Create New Cash Account
  • Empty: There are no data available… → + Create New Cash Account
  • Toolbar supports search, date range, and Excel export

Unlike Bank flip cards, Cash uses single-face cards — one petty cash account per card.

What each card shows

Identity

Petty cash name, Active / Inactive tag, Account Number (code).

₹

Balance

Balance with currency sign — current cash on hand for that account.

Edit, Delete, Transaction History, Collection, Payment, Cash Transfer.

Typical list actions

  1. 1Scan the overview strip for total cash position
  2. 2Open a card menu → Transaction History for the full ledger
  3. 3Or post quickly: Collection, Payment, or Cash Transfer from the same menu
  4. 4Edit to change name, currency, opening figures, or Is Active
Tip

Transaction History on the card may require a meaningful balance (balanceTL) before the shortcut appears — you can still open history after posting Opening Balance / Collection.

Frequently asked

Is there multi-account under one cash like Bank?+

No. Each Cash Account is one petty-cash record. For several tills, create several cash accounts. Bank multi-account is under Bank.
