Cash

Menu Cash/Bank → Cash Accounts (`/definitions/cash-account`). Create and manage petty cash accounts with balance and currency. From history record Collection, Payment, and Cash Transfer (shared with Bank and Party ledgers).

Transactions

Cash Transfer

Cash Transfer moves an amount between this cash account and a bank (or cash) destination — without using Collection/Payment against a party.

Open Cash Transfer

  1. 1Card menu → Cash Transfer, or history → New Transaction → Cash Transfer
  2. 2Modal header: Cash Transfer

All Cash Transfer fields

  • Collection Point — Cash Account or Bank Account (destination type)
  • Pick destination cash or bank account
  • Source Cash Account — readonly when opened from cash history
  • Receipt / Document No.
  • Date
  • Amount Transfer + currency conversion box
  • Description

When to use it

Deposit till to bank

Transfer from Cash → Bank Account destination after a sales day.

Withdraw for float

Transfer from Bank → Cash when topping up petty cash.

No fake party

Avoid posting Collection/Payment to a dummy party just to move money.

Tip

After a transfer, check both Cash Account and Bank Account ledgers — running Balance should move in opposite directions for a simple cash↔bank move.

Is Other Bank Process available here?+

No. Use Cash Transfer for cash↔bank. For categorized bank-only inflow/outflow, use Bank → Other Bank Process.
