Menu Cash/Bank → Bank Accounts (`/definitions/bank-account`). Create bank accounts, open Transaction Details for Collection, Payment, Cash Transfer, and Other Bank Process, and optionally compare statements from the grid.
Bank Accounts Overview
Bank Accounts under Definitions holds every company bank and nested account — so collections, payments, and transfers always hit the right balance.
What Bank is for
- Path: Definitions → Bank Accounts (`/definitions/bank-account`)
- Store one or more banks, each with multiple accounts (current, savings, credit-card flag)
- See live Bank Balance on the list and per-account balances on flip cards
- Open Bank Account - Transaction Details to post Collection, Payment, Cash Transfer, and Other Bank Process
- Link receipts and payments to a Party and (when needed) to invoices — same slips as Payment In / Payment Out
- Totals also appear on the Dashboard Account Details strip (Bank / Cash); sibling master: Cash

Multi-account
One bank branch, several account numbers — flip the card to see each balance.
Collection
Money in from customers — Create Collection Slip against party and invoices.
Payment
Money out to suppliers — Create Payment with amount, date, and description.
Transfer & other
Move cash↔bank or post other bank operations (inflow/outflow) with category.
After phone-only signup you can define banks before onboarding is Ready — same as Party and Item masters — so payment modes exist when invoicing unlocks.
Frequently asked
Is this the same as Party → Bank tab?+
No. Party banks store a contact’s Account Number, Account Holder Name, Bank Name, and IFSC for payments to them. Company Bank Accounts under Definitions are your own accounts for Collection/Payment. See Party.
