What the card shows

  • Section label: Total Profit
  • Card value comes from your Dashboard summary for the period (API field month profit / benefit)
  • Ideal reading of the number: Total Sales − Total Purchases − Expenses

How to use it

Month health

A strong Total Profit with rising Sales Trend means growth is translating into margin.

Investigate dips

If sales are up but Total Profit is down, check purchase bills and expense entries.

AI

Pair with Insights

AI Insights often explain cash-flow or margin issues that show up first in this card.

Tip

Keep expenses and purchase invoices posted promptly — Total Profit only reflects what is already recorded in Billoxy for the period.

Frequently asked

Is Total Profit the same as bank balance?+

No. Total Profit is a P&L-style benefit (sales − purchases − expenses). Bank and Cash live under Account Details.

Why does it differ from Profit Trend?+

Total Profit is the summary figure for the current period card; Profit Trend plots profit over multiple points so you can see the shape of the period.
