Menu Cash/Bank → Bank Accounts (`/definitions/bank-account`). Create bank accounts, open Transaction Details for Collection, Payment, Cash Transfer, and Other Bank Process, and optionally compare statements from the grid.
Collection (Money In)
Collection records money received into the bank account — pick a Party, optional invoices, date, and Received Amount inside Create Collection Slip.
Open Collection

All Collection Slip fields
- Receipt / Document No.
- Bank Account — usually readonly (the account you opened history from)
- Party (required) — from your Party master
- Invoices — invoices for that party with Invoice Total and Remaining Balance
- Date (required)
- Received Amount (required) — currency conversion box when account currency differs

To Petty Cash
To Petty Cash (Cash) — receive into cash instead of bank.
To Bank
To Bank (RTGS, NEFT, IMPS) — receive into a bank account.
You can also start collections from Payment In (New Collection) and pick Cash/Bank Account there — the same slip model, listed under invoice/collections.
Frequently asked
Must I link invoices?+
Party is required. Invoices are selected when you are settling specific bills; otherwise record the receipt with amount and description.
Where does the party come from?+
Define customers under Party first so Collection can pick them and show open invoices.
