Menu Cash/Bank → Bank Accounts (`/definitions/bank-account`). Create bank accounts, open Transaction Details for Collection, Payment, Cash Transfer, and Other Bank Process, and optionally compare statements from the grid.
Create & Edit Bank Account
Create New Bank Account uses two tabs — General Details for bank/branch/phone, and Bank Accounts for one or more account numbers, currencies, and opening balances.
Open the modal
- 1Click Create New Bank Account (or empty-state + Create New Bank Account)
- 2Modal header: Create New Bank Account (same chrome for edit)
- 3Fill tabs → Save
Tab: General Details
- Bank Name (required) — select the bank
- IFSC Code (required) — pick the branch by IFSC search
- Branch Name — filled from the IFSC selection (readonly)
- Phone Number (required) — contact for the branch/bank record

Tab: Bank Accounts (per account block)
- Block title: Bank Account #N — Remove if more than one
- Account Name (required)
- Account Number (required)
- Currency (required)
- Opening Balance and Opening Balance Date (optional)
- Balance Amount when applicable
- Bank Account Status — Active / Inactive
- Credit Card — Active / Inactive flag for card accounts
- Button to add another account under the same bank

Opening Balance seeds the ledger. Later rows appear under Bank Account - Transaction Details with a running Balance column — Opening Balance lines are protected from casual delete.
Frequently asked
Where is Account Holder Name?+
On company Bank create, you set Account Name and Account Number. Account Holder Name / free-text IFSC appear on Party → Bank for the contact’s own banks.
How do I deactivate without deleting?+
Set Bank Account Status to Inactive on edit. Delete removes the bank record after confirmation.
