Bank

Menu Cash/Bank → Bank Accounts (`/definitions/bank-account`). Create bank accounts, open Transaction Details for Collection, Payment, Cash Transfer, and Other Bank Process, and optionally compare statements from the grid.

Transactions

Payment (Money Out)

Payment records money leaving the bank account — Party, invoices when settling bills, Date, Payment Amount, and Description in Create Payment.

Open Payment

  1. 1Bank Account - Transaction Details → New TransactionPayment
  2. 2Modal: Create Payment (edit: Edit Payment)
  3. 3Or use Payment Out list → New Payment with Cash/Bank Account choice

All Payment fields

  • Receipt / Document No.
  • Bank Account — typically readonly for the open ledger account
  • Party (required) — supplier/contact from Party
  • Invoices — bills to settle with totals and remaining balance
  • Date (required)
  • Payment Amount (required) + currency conversion when needed
  • Description
  • Payment Type when allowed: From Petty Cash (Cash) or From Bank (RTGS, NEFT, IMPS)

Payment decreases the bank account balance and can clear payable invoices for the party.

Collection vs Payment

Collection

Money in — Received Amount — customer typically owes you less after.

Payment

Money out — Payment Amount — you owe the party less after.

Balance

Both update running Balance on Bank Account - Transaction Details.

Tip

Match Payment Amount to invoice Remaining Balance when settling in full — Process Details and document numbers keep the audit trail clear.

Frequently asked

Payment vs Stock Out?+

Payment moves money in Bank. Stock Out moves warehouse qty under Stock. They are separate ledgers.
