Edit Party & Change Status

Edit Party opens the same fields as create, starting from a read-only summary — update type, GST, addresses, contacts, banks, or soft-deactivate with Change Status.

Edit flow

  1. 1From the list, open ⋮ → Edit (page title: Edit Party)
  2. 2Read-only summary shows name, code, State, Phone, GSTIN, Party Type, currencies
  3. 3Click the pencil to enter edit mode — same sections as Add Party
  4. 4Update Additional Details and Address / Additional Contact / Bank tabs as needed
  5. 5Click Submit to save

Change Status (soft deactivate)

  • Row menu or bulk bar: Change Status
  • Toggles ActiveInactive without removing the party
  • Success toast: Party status changed successfully
  • Inactive parties stay in history but can be filtered out of day-to-day lists

Prefer Change Status when you want to stop using a party but keep its ledger and past invoices.
Tip

On mobile, Edit / Copy / Transactions History / Change Status / Delete are available from the party menu; web list uses Edit, Transaction Details, and Change Status as primary actions.

Frequently asked

Copy is available on mobile to duplicate a party. On web the menu item may appear but full copy is oriented to the mobile workflow.
